Ex-Demo Hou Canoes 16ft Prospector Open Canoe (2021 – range in Excellent Condition)
The Chestnut Prospector is a design legend and the hōu Canoes take on an all time classic retains all the best characteristics of this all round boat. This canoe was originally designed as a trading vessel so had to paddle well on both open water such as lakes, and also to paddle well on moving/white water rivers. It had to paddle well unloaded but also had to be able to carry a good load on the return journey. Today we still want the same from our canoes, all be it for different reasons. This boat is a joy on lakes and rivers, and will give you a dry, predictable ride whether you are solo or loaded up for a multi day trip.
With the boat being pitched at just over 15 and 1/2 feet in length it is also the ultimate do everything boat. No longer do you need to look at a 15 and 16 thinking, the 15 is what I want for the solo days, but the 16 will be better for tandem and tripping days, now you can have it all in one boat, the Hou Canoes Prospector!

The boat has only been used a handful of times and less than 1 year old. Price displayed is for boat only. DELIVERY & RETURNS
Delivery is not included. Canoes are available to collect from store within 2-5 working days of placing your order. Collect from LD3 0SD. We will notify you once your order is ready for collection.
Returns are accepted in accordance with your statutory rights, however buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
